a*) Amit Goswami, PhD, & Valentina Onisor, MD: “Universal Principles of Spiritual Healing” (Lecture: 2 hrs)
The state of health is a dynamic condition, an expression of harmony and equilibrium on all levels of the human being. Spiritual or Quantum Healing occurs while reestablishing the equilibrium between the microcosms and macrocosm. We emphasize simple and effective guidelines and methods of spiritual healing that are rooted in ancient wisdom traditions, and may allow us to experience greater inner peace and harmony, freedom, balance, awareness and self-connection. (Follow-up two-day workshop:
Session 24)
b*) Dr. Dorothy Sekhukhune, Psych N: “What Demons Mean Within the African Context: An Exploratory Study” (Workshop: 2 hrs)
The Johannesburg township of Soweto has been afflicted, in recent years, with what certain families call “demons.” Some religious groups, invited by victims’ families to chase away these demons, have resorted to the use of harmful practices. National television showed people, at the behest of their religious leaders, eating grass, snakes, rats, or even being sprayed with pesticide (Doom). Dr. Sekhukhune, as a concerned citizen and mental healthcare practitioner, initiated an investigation into the connection between religion and “demons,” so as to demystify this practice, which has been gaining momentum in the township.
c*) Bishop Kevin Daniels, DMin, EdD: “The Pedagogy of Pneumatology: The Holy Spirit as an Infinite Conduit for Social and Personal Change — Part 1” (Workshop: 2 hrs)
Examine the ancient as well as the contemporary working of the Holy Spirit for our times. Practical examples will be given of both the transcendent and immanent activities of the life giving and transformative work. (Continued in Session 24c)
