Nauman Naeem, MD: “How Being in the Flow Is Related to Achieving Optimal Health” (Lecture: 1½ hrs)
Ever since Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi published his book called Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience, there has been an increased interest in the state of flow as it applies to high performance and achieving success and fulfillment in life. According to Dr. Nauman Naeem, no one has discussed or applied the concept of flow as it applies to reaching optimal health and healing. In his lecture, Dr. Naeem looks at the concept of flow in this context and discusses the various levels of flow as they apply to health and healing. These levels, which he introduces in his book Healing from the Inside Out: Overcome Chronic Disease and Radically Change Your Life, are Inner Flow, Physiologic Flow, Body or Movement Flow and Outer Flow. Dr. Naeem demonstrates how the concept of flow is integral to achieving optimal health and explores the various practices that can help you take healing to a higher level.
