Their value system reached deeply into their spirituality as well. They lived their respect for their gifted surroundings, and held that the Creator’s Nature bore no superstition and hence was earth-based rather than man-influenced. This, in turn, promoted a far more ethical and moral existence, despite the countless vilifying attempts of European and later American writers and historians.
